Person-Centered Practices uses a person-centered framework to support people with disabilities and other people who are marginalized from their communities, to live their lives as they define them. We offer training and technical assistance on person-centered practices with a wide range of organizations that support people to be included in their communities, family members, and people with disabilities. We believe we must take it to scale. We must embed person-centered practices in the fabric of organizations that support people to maximize impact, leading to positive life changes. To offer training and support directly to people to develop plans that guide outcomes based on what is important to them.

The Texas & Friends Gathering
Enhancing Skills for Better Support
Whether you are new to person-centered thinking or have years of experience, the Texas & Friends Gathering has something for you. Newcomers will gain a deeper understanding of person-centered values and practical skills that can be used to support people in meaningful ways. Those with prior experience will have opportunities to strengthen their skills, share ideas, learn from others, and explore new ways to turn person-centered conversations into meaningful outcomes.
Together, trainers, self-advocates, family members, and service providers create a welcoming community where everyone can learn, connect, and be inspired to help people live better, more self-directed lives. The Texas and Friends Gathering will be held live at the Multi-Assistance Center at Morgan's Wonderland in San Antonio, TX, on October 27-28, 2026.
